They even begged if I could read it again tomorrow... (I think that says it all)! I LOVE LOVE LOVE all of the interactive prompts! The children eat stuff like that up and it really gets their attention. Also, the artwork is so adorable! One of the kids even said in the sweetest little voice "Aww, that little earth is so cute!" As a follow-up, I plan to implement a fingerprint project emphasizing the message from "Only One Me", with the class soon. I will have them draw smiley faces, legs, and arms on their individual fingerprints! We will also be learning the Rainbow Tune as a compliment to the book and its message. I must warn you, that you will have this song stuck in your head on repeat, especially after you hear lots of sweet little voices singing it collectively.It is too precious! I would recommend this book to every child, parent, teacher, and basically to every human on this planet.Â

My inspiration for this book, and the upcoming Crystal Rainbow Book series, was a video my daughter shared while filming American Idol. When I watched this video, shared by millions, the hair on my arms stood up and I knew something important was happening to both her AND my family.I remember telling Shi, that she should write a children's book on the subject of how each human has a unique gift to offer the world. Two years later, as Shi is writing her OWN book, I began this journey of becoming an author and a series is born! I fully realized it was MY gift to offer the world! I am excited to create for little rainbow children and for the caregivers, too!The toddler book series will be an education for anyone who reads the books; in ways that ask the reader to be curious about their bodies, their minds and all that we CANNOT see with our human eyes.My commitment to each book will eventually include:Print Book, eBook and Audio Book in both English and SpanishOriginal Rainbow Tune video featuring children from all over the worldMessages that go beyond the wordsColorful & meaningful illustrationsSchool Book Reads and Speaking Engagements to share the SeriesThank you for YOU, and for being right here...right now.I am forever grateful.SANDRA

Just read this charming, delightfully illustrated book to my 3 1/2 year old son. I love how engaging it is - encouraging you to pause on every page to examine your body parts, noticing their details and how they might differ from someone else’s (and of course, remarking how special and unique your parts are to you!) When I asked my son if he liked it, he exclaimed “Yes! I loved all of it†“Why? What did you like about it?†“All the cool words!â€The only critique I would have is that while there are many diverse looks of body parts and kids, I would’ve liked to see more brown kids/parts in the book.
My 5 year-old completely resonated with this book!!! The short sentences make it easy to read. My 11 year-old read it my 2 year old. She loves the pictures and they each have it on their tablets so they can look at it while we drive. Happiness and a new daily habit in a book!
This book is adorable and really engaging for small children. Its something they can follow along with and relate to as an individual, finding themselves on each page :) Would certainly recommend to families
The message in this book ties in perfectly with even the youngest children. It’s the perfect “first book†for infants, and my school age grandchildren loved it too! It captured their attention throughout. I would highly recommend it!!
Whimsical and fun illustrated book for toddlers. Teaches that each person is unique , beautiful and special just the way God made them. Even though God isn’t mentioned- I personally would add that when reading to a child.
At a time in history such as THIS-- we need more works of art in the vein of "Only One Me!". I do not typically choose writings such as this one, but something about it called my name, and I feel fortunate for that.This experience comes from the heart and is guaranteed to touch the heart of you and your family as well.I'd certainly recommend!
This book was exactly what my 4 year old needed. Having just started a new school and with lots of changes going on at home, the mantra of “only one me†is something she started repeating after only one read. It stuck with her. I definitely recommend this book. Confidence builder for sure.
My son absolutely loves this book and it has such a great message. Every child is unique and beautiful and this book really helps show how amazingly special each child is. A Must Have!!!
